We promise to contact you within 24 hours with a response and a quote based on your needs. Please be as specific as possible as to what your requirements are and your learning objective. We also make flexible arrangements, and will try to accommodate your circumstance. Please read further below to find out the payment methods we accept.

Our new rate schedule is effective from February 1, 2010 and are per person. We offer four levels of service contingent on how quickly you need our services:

A standard service (basic undergraduate student rate). This is for instruction that starts at least 48 hours from your booking time, between 10am and 6pm, Monday to Friday (£80 per hour). This rate applies to all undergraduate level students or lower.

A bronze service (early morning, late evening, weekend service, national holiday service and post graduate student basic rate). This is for instruction that starts at least 48 hours from your booking time, starting before 10am or after 6pm on Monday to Friday, anytime Saturday, anytime Sunday or on national holidays (£90 per hour). This is also the basic rate for postgraduate students and professional education students.

A silver service. This is for instruction that starts between 24 hours and 48 hours from your booking time (£100 per hour).

A Gold service. This is for instruction that starts within 24 hours from your booking time (£120 per hour).

Rates are effective From August 1, 2010 and are per person. Rates per person for two or more people taking a joint lesson are lower as discounts apply for sessions involving more than one student. Please contact for rates (email).

We guarantee that we will only receive payments from you if you are fully satisfied. We implement this by offering you one hour instruction, upon which you will have the option not to continue and pay nothing. However, if you are satisfied as we expect, the hour will count as paid instruction i.e. the hour is not free. We ensure that we can help you before taking you on as a client.


We accept

  • Cash
  • Sterling Cheques drawn on a UK bank account (subject to status)
  • Transfer to a UK bank account (ask for sort code & account number details)
  • Credit and debit card payments via paypal (www.paypal.co.uk).

Cards we accept include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Switch, Solo, Visa Delta and Visa Electron. Payments are to be made to tuition(at)baselineeducation(dot)co(dot)uk.

A 5% surcharge is added to credit or debit card payments e.g. For a 2 hour session charged at 75 pounds per hour, total amount due for payment is 157.50 pounds (1.05*150).

Payments are usually made after the first session, upon which payments are to be made in advance. We are happy to discuss payment arrnagements on a case-by-case basis.


Any payments in advance for which instruction is not undertaken will be refunded in full if cancellation is done within 48 hours by the client or if cancellation is due to us. Otherwise no refund is due. If payment has been made for multiple sessions, then the balance, less charges for a 2-hour session will be refunded. Refunds will be made by cheque or direct bank transfer.

There are no financial penalties for rescheduling a session, but we appreciate 48 hours notice.

There are no refunds for service already delivered. We give you an opportunity to demonstrate suitability on the first session by offering you one hour instruction, upon which you will have the option not to continue and pay nothing. However, if you are satisfied as we expect, the hour will count as paid instruction i.e. the hour is not free.
